“I give what I want to receive.” Illustrated hand lettering of word art surrounded by hearts, bees, butterflies, and flowers. There is a dashed line from the “i” to “receive” in the pencil sketch drawing.
The reason for the small “i” and capital “I” was to reference inward Spirit as “i” and outward Ego as “I”. My thoughts came to me during meditation the “golden rule” of treating others as you wish to receive.
That is your Spirit should be open to giving love if your Ego wants to feel love. If you want more love and kindness in the world then be the example for others to follow. Consider that there may be some people who don’t know how to give love and kindness because they never learned. When you give first you give others the opportunity to learn from your example.
Being a better human does not mean you will receive the love and kindness back directly. The universe has its own divine way of managing what is given and received. Think of when a child learns at school. Once the child is educated, the child does not go back to instruct the teacher, but rather uses the knowledge out in the world with others.
Through faith, believe the goodness you give will come back to you indirect ways just like a garden with the bees, butterflies, and the flowers in how they give and receive with each other with their own timing for manifesting change from their interactions. There is a divine harmony on a higher level.
I hope you enjoy my sketchbook! There is a companion sketch “I receive what I want to give” too. I am thinking to make these illustrations into coloring book pages in the future. Updates will be in my newsletter.
