“I receive what I want to give.” Illustrated hand lettering of word art surrounded by hearts, bees, butterflies, and flowers. There is a dashed line from the “i” to “give” in the pencil sketch drawing.
The reason for the small “i” and capital “I” was to reference inward Spirit as “i” and outward Ego as “I”. My thoughts came to me during meditation the “golden rule” of making sure to have the same level of self-care as you give to others. When you are in a leadership or caregiver role, it can be easy to put yourself last and others first. Taking care of others also means taking care of yourself in equal measure.
Everything is about balance like a well-tended garden. No one element such as insects, sunshine, rain, or plants dominates. They work together in harmony of giving and receiving. In addition to this drawing, also did a companion sketch “I give what I want to receive” too.
I hope you enjoy my sketchbook! I am thinking to make these illustrations into coloring book pages in the future. Updates will be in my newsletter.
